"I have always had a desire to help people.  My continued love of being a therapist grows as I watch other people explore inside themselves and find ways to heal.  It is very moving to be allowed to watch someone in their journey to better emotional health.  As a therapist, I am seen as a warm and caring individual who asks questions in a way that allows people the freedom to discover their own solutions.  I appreciate the honor of being a part of people's journey to a happier self." 

I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in Human Development and family studies.  After my undergraduate degree I worked for a little over 2 years in specialized foster care.  This was the point at which I was able to gain a lot of understanding for working with family dynamics as well as a great deal of understanding for working with teenagers.  I went on to get my Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee with a specialization in Marriage in Family Therapy.  Since that time I have worked in adult and adolescent mental health and substance abuse including individual, group and family therapy.

 St. John's UMC is located across from the Moose on Route 143.  Park in the front parking lot (first opportunity to turn right) and come through the double doors.  The Horizon Hope office is on the right just past the library.
