Partnering WITH PURPOSE
A Couples Therapy Group for Parents of Autistic Children
                                                          Weekly Sessions on Wednesday Nights                                                         September 28 thru November 16

An unnerving statistic states that 80% of married couple whose child has ASD will divorce at some point after the diagnosis.

While that statistic is being researched and debated among psychological and psychiatric communities, one thing is certain:  a diagnosis of autism or Asperger’s causes a new level of stress to the family unit.

We at Horizon Hope believe that the marriage relationship has the strongest influence on the family’s well being.  The purpose of this therapy group is to strengthen the bonds of the couple at the core of the family unit.  This group will provide strategies to make your marriage not only stable, but exceptional as you cope with the changes ahead.

• This group is therapeutic in nature; therefore space is limited to 6 couples.                                                Cost is $40 per session.
• Evening sessions will start at 6:30pm and will end promptly at 8pm.
• Experienced supervision will be provided for all children.
• Sibling support group led by licensed social worker will also be available.
• Sessions will meet at Hope Church, 200 Dapron Road, Belleville, IL  62226                                                         (in front of Memorial Hospital, near Frank Scott Parkway).
