Have you tried everything to feel "normal" and still feel wounded, damaged, or out of control? If this is you, it's time to step out of the solitary confinement of your mind and allow a healer to guide you. After all, being with a therapist is a relationship that can go beyond any other. For your therapist may know every secret and dark thought you've had, and hold trust that you've never gifted to anyone. When you ask for help, you're expecting skills, processing, for "it" not to hurt so bad. Being gifted to heal people from their trauma creates a sense of owing the world my best effort at the work I love.

I am a healer offering quick skills to reduce symptoms to cope as we process deeper issues. I utilize Parts and Memory Therapy, EMDR, and Mindfulness-based CBT to assist clients with a wide array of issues causing distress. My main goal is to provide my clients with the ability to function without psychotropic medications and live a full prosperous life.

About me:

I received my undergraduate degree in psychology from St. Mary's University in San Antonio, TX and a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis on disability studies at The University of Arizona.

I was fortunate enough to obtain unique experience in working with high-risk populations as a crisis worker in Tucson, AZ where I assisted first responders and mental health court by completing assessments and making placement recommendations for individuals in crisis or who were severely mentally ill.

As a former Child Protective Service worker and current outpatient therapist, I have experience working with children who have experienced trauma, neglect, anxiety disorders and poor self-esteem.

I have had the pleasure of working with diverse groups such as the Tohono O'odham and Cherokee tribes, the LGBTQ+ community, Latino/a populations, active duty military (combat trauma, military transitions) and their dependents, and individuals of all socioeconomic classes.

My specific areas of specialty and competency in clinical practice are PTSD and other trauma related disorders (as a result of rape, violence, combat, loss of child, abuse, etc.), anxiety disorders, military populations and their dependents, women's issues (miscarriage, PMDD, post-partumdepression/anxiety/psychosis), and grief.
